Hi. I recently started a job on august 14. The company lost internet connection for a full day because someone didn’t pay the internet bill. So so much for me doing work for 8 plus hours. I also had been sickly with diarrhea But my manager has yelled at me about missing work and for begging for work!! no one’s training me to do a thing! I came down with pharyngitis on Wednesday and was out since Wed. This is a toxic environment. Is this normal for a healthy work environment?

Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.
