Hi! I want to exit out of consulting with almost 4 years under my belt. I’m mainly looking for product manager roles but debating going into SWE (after studying). I’ve applied to so many roles externally but rarely get call backs. How can I increase the number of interviews I’m getting or be seen as a competitive applicant?

Ask for a referral.

SWE might put you in entry level if you pivot. If this doesn’t matter to you, then go for it. But if it does, you should look into it deeper.

Other roles you could apply for. I mean it’s not bad to go into SWE, but with 4 years under your belt you might (keyword is might) be coming in the same level as a kid out of college. There’s no shame in that, I was just adding in my two sense in case that was something you were worried about.

I have 2 offers: 1. PwC US for the Manager position. 2. Infosys for the Senior consultant position. Both offered same base salary (around 150,000 USD) PwC has huge signing bonus. Have to join Infosys as H1 transfer is already done and I already resigned from TCS by the time PwC offer was finalized. Once PwC H1 transfer is done then should I leave Infosys within 2-3 months after joining or should I continue with Infosys and decline PwC offer?

Hi, I have a 1st round interview coming up for an associate position at L.E.K. Consulting and was wondering if anyone could give some insight into the interview? I believe it will be 2 cases, 30 min strategy and 30 min quant. Have been doing some case prep over past few months, but nothing too in depth or LEK specific. Kind of nervous - never done a case interview and feel a little underprepared

ACN interviewer made a mistake and did case study interview for manager level role instead of consultant role. I have great feedback from 1st Interview and not so much from case interview because of this. I had a catch up with the recruiter this morning and he said they've now closed recruitment and have said they will get in touch with me towards end of January for Q2 recruitment and that I may need to do case interview again. Good prospects or bad?

Asking for advice please. I’m making 57k as a Finance Coordinator (2 yrs). My work is a hybrid role: 1) Exec assistant for a C-Level exec, 2) Financial Analyst. I cannot become Analyst now due to an on-going visa application that is going to take about 1-1.5 years. I am very grateful that my company is willing to help me with my visa (around 10k) this year. But I am thinking about asking for 70-75k since living cost in LA is pretty high and sometimes my bank account can be negative. What to do?

I am in a single income family with a small army of children. We have enough medical bills from chronic meds and random happenings that we just do the plans that have the smallest deductible(out of pocket) due to risk of large medical bills. Therefore I do not do the HSA because I don't have the high deductible plan. Should I rethink that? Help me think through this.

For example, the orientation ends on 5:30pm on Monday and 4pm on Tuesday can we expense dinners after orientation? Sorry for all the questions!
