As an ADC applying this summer for 2022 start, I haven’t gotten a chance to connect with any L.E.K. Consulting members and I really want to get to know the company better before moving on with my application. Any L.E.K. Consulting fish out there willing to spare a few minutes to chat about their work, the company, the culture etc? Thanks!

Hi folks,
To those who are looking for a new job or have been affected by layoffs, Refermarket offers free credit to request a referral upon signing up. The platform offers referrals to companies that are still hiring and optimizes your chances of landing an interview as we match you to the most optimal person to put the referral in.
Website: https://refermarket.com/
P.S. Referrers on bowl can also sign-up on the platform as employee. Refermarket can provide an exclusive list of candidates to refer to your company.
Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.
I got a call from the Google recruiter about my L7 em interview Google She said I did overwhelmingly good on all interviews except one had mixed feedback on a system design. No surprise because it was not a good interview. The recruiter said i had a choice to go to hiring committee, give referrals they could call about my system design or take another system design interview. I’m not confident about the system design because of the bad experience I had with the previous interviewer. What should I do?

I think some people feel some kind of ways about banking PMs (some would say that banks treat tech as a cost center rather than a revenue driver) and that sometimes the tech can seem to be legacy tech. Of course not true across the board, there are more tech forward banks such as Capital one. Can’t really comment on US bank specifically.
I’d say home improvement is more along the lines of retail tech. There is def room for growth, there was massive growth during the COVID era as retailers moved to online commerce. Growth looks to be slowing a little bit now, but during good economic times there can be a lot of change and growth going on. Also can’t really comment specifically on Home Depot though.
I work in tech consulting so this is just what I’ve observed over the last few years in the different verticals that my company does work in (fin tech and retail)
Slowing a little bit? I'd say slowing alot. Foot traffic was reduced to stragglers over the winter. It got progressively worse until it all but dried up. I was there for 6 years and never saw anything like it, at my store at least. Good luck

I would definitely suggest reading reviews on Glassdoor. You can usually find some insightful information that way. Best of luck to you.
Are you looking into PM roles at both places
I worked at Home Depot Corporate office for 17 years. They are definitely a good company to work for.
