Hello All, I have offer in hand of 27.5 LPA+15% variable from ZS Associates as a BT Solutions delivery consultant and now my current company is ready to retain me by matching the offer & assuring that they will send me onsite to UK in couple of months. Now I am in a dilemma of what to do as I have been looking for onsite opportunities for my entire career so far. Kindly share your thoughts. How much is your work experience? You earn great in Indian terms for comfortable life. If you want to explore outside India then you should not think in terms of saving. With 3.7 combined you will save more around same in foreign +- 20% based on location as how you save in India.
I am also thinking on same lines, we have combined income of 3.75 to 4. But I found it difficult to get any sort of reply form recruiters. The easiest way is Indian org sending you onsite and then you switch.
But finding from here to Foriegn is a bt difficult.
Your question1 : On saving
Lets say you get PPP based salary there in comparison with India. It will make sense if you want to travel more than 2 to 3 times abroad in same continent. Like if you go Europe you can almost cover most countries via rail car bus as well so saving directly on multiple flight tickets.
But if you plan to go to Aus and then go to Europe US etx then India would make and those trip are 2 or less than India would be better.
Again, if you want to explore south east asia then India is cheaper. So this part completely depends on this target and your lifestyle.
Second point. :
If your current company sponsors you abd dont have any agreement clause then you can switch comparitely essily as the next company would not need to sponsor you.
But to get into service based and then trying for onsite is long process. And finding companies directly is shorter process but difficult process
You can try abroad but don't expect package as per PPP as companies don't offer unless you don't require sponsorship
You will be saving more outside but that depends on the country and its tax system. So dont go outside for saving only, look at other things like safety, infrastructure, exposure etc. choose a country which works for you and your lifestyle. If you like calm and quiet choose countries like canada for eg, if you like city life singapore, dubai are good options. Every country including india has its own pros and cons, decide which con you are ready to bear with. Good luck!
Maybe go as a tourist in few countries and try to see if you like it there when you stay for a week or two.
