Having to call Marriott to apply a suite night award to an SPG hotel on a reservation you made before the merger and combining accounts proves to you how much is still SO WRONG with this merger.
If you live in the US, are you starting to accept the fact you’ll probably catch Covid-19 before a vaccine is widely available? Given the rate of spread in US
Frustrated many law firms didn’t allow remote working earlier in the covid-19 outbreak, seems like some partners don’t trust associates to work without supervision. How can we fix this as an industry?
I feel like I'm the only teacher in my school who is concerned about covid. Am I alone?

United Platinum here - got an offer to pay ~$6k for upgrade to 1K. Thoughts on if it’s worth it? Already belong to Club (United Infinite) and have CLEAR credit through Amex Platinum. Still have 40 plus points from hitting Platinum last year. Unlikely to travel for business until late 2Q at earliest but have 2-3 transcontinental flights planned for summer and 1 transatlantic for fall. Maybe another 1-2 shorter trips this year as well. I imagine I’d use my extra plus points on all these.
Does anyone tip hotel front desk ppl? I stay at the same hotel & have gotten to know some of the staff - they give me upgrades sometimes! I’m just a little shy about slipping a bill over. Advice?
I was platinum lifetime marriott... on the spg app, i now show gold lifetime. That should show Platinum lifetime right?
I have always wanted to work for the big 4. Found the idea of working with different clients, travel and the learning experience to be exiting . Not sure if this is just in my head and the grass looks greener on the other side . I currently work in program mgmt at Apple and wanted to understand if anyone has made the switch from faang to consulting? Is the pay and lifestyle rewarding. Should I experience this life before I get older ?PwC EY Deloitte KPMG

Has any firm in Canada reverted back from salary freezes during Covid? Aka gone back to pre-COVID salary bands. This question may be more for the strategy shops....I.e. I heard S& in the US is giving people raises in January to meet pre-COVID bands (but don’t know if this is happening in PwC). What are people seeing in Canada?
Have you had any cases of covid at your school?
The shift on Covid-19 is happening across Europe. The push for normalcy in the US will grow over the next several weeks. Are we ready for it?
Hi! Anyone recently traveled to India with Air India? How many check-in bags are allowed? Is it still 2 bags? TIA
Anyone else having issues with their Delta account? I logged in fine this morning and now I can’t get on from the app or my laptop...
NDAs for Nannies? I was wondering how everyone who is doing some work from home during covid handles in-house caregivers? Obviously we all take all steps to protect confidential information and realistically a caregiver isn't going to be exposed to anything we do, but does anyone require an NDA just to be on the safe side? (I dont have an in home caregiver yet, but just thinking about it.)
After ~2 years in strat consulting thinking of a shift to data science - advice, thoughts and views on pay/progression? (UK)
I’m seeing a lot of job req’s for Bain’s Advanced Analytics Group nationwide: does this group operate like a centralized Analytics COE to onsite strategy teams? (I.e. Consultants advise executives/leads on An analytics roadmap, and AAG come in and implement, rather than go with a Big 4 / Indian IT shop?) Thanks guys.
Can we start a thread to discuss the best and worst Consulting firms to work at in London?
Is Alverez and Marshall T2?

Hi. I had applied for the role of Data Scientist - Analyst in Accenture and filled out the EAF form. I applied using a referral around November 16th. My profile was kept on hold (The status showed "Candidature on Hold") and when I checked today, it showed that my candidature was rejected. I was not called for an interview or even a discussion and yet, my profile was rejected. Any reason why? I am not on notice period. I have 2YOE in Support env. and I am about to complete my PGP in DS. Accentur
Though likely to take a couple years, looks like the Big 4 audit firms will have to shed their consultancies (again). Will the US and other countries’ regulators follow suit?
What's the market rate for Workday Consultants at the Senior Consultant, Manager, and other levels? Seems to me that there is a wide gap between what I've heard people are making.
Does anyone currently work for a company that’s hiring? If so, would anyone like to throw a referral my way? 😇 JD - graduated in May. I started working for a small firm in March, during my last semester. I stayed with the firm until this month: pay was garbage, and supervisor started treating me poorly when they found out I was interviewing for other firms. I’ve been applying and interviewing for months. I hate to say that I am desperate, but any advise would be desperately appreciated ☺️
Was just snarky on a call with a team member. “You keep asking the same questions each quarter and expecting a different result. You will not get it.” I am just so tired of them and this job and everything. I feel like I should apologize but also I don’t want to because it’s true and needed to be said.
I had a miscarriage last month, due to other personal circumstances, my husband and I want to be more proactive about trying for pregnancy. Doctor recommended taking letrozole. Contd.
Started as a baby legal assistant about ten years ago at a transactional firm - now the majority (seven years) of my experience is in litigation. I am wanting to move more toward transactional or in-house now. Am I basically starting completely over? I am well respected and sought-out in litigation, but I'm unsure of how to market myself in the direction I want to go with as much confidence. Has anyone successfully made this move?
Hi HR Team! I have a question for the group. I just signed an offer letter and employer is doing background check. I have a misdemeanor oui w/ a reckless driving misdemeanor . Is this generally acceptable. 1st offense, nothing else on my background. I am actually appealing my guilty verdict also, btw. Can someone put my anxious heart at ease while I wait on this to return?
