Hoping someone in big law in Tampa can provide some guidance. Incoming attorney at a law firm in Tampa, midsize doing premise liability. Currently a 3L, have a 3.06 GPA, solid undergrad school and undergrad GPA, but law school not so much. Any advice on lateraling to big law in Tampa in transactional?

I have a low GPA because an abusive relationship during my schooling that kept me from focusing. I’m clear of that now, but I don’t know how to explain my low GPA going forward.

Anyone make the switch out to IT type work? Just not enjoying the BS in accounting and want something more chill.

I’ve asked for work but no luck. I know they say this is normal for a stub but when should I start getting worried and consider looking for exit options? Fyi, I like my practice group, so I don’t want to change to a different group within my firm, hence would have to lateral, if I have to. Also, other co-1st years are churning in high hours.

So I used to work for a company where my job was good, was a director of business solutions for a fashion brand. Only issue was that the CFO micromanaged and ended up leaving. My background is digital transformation however I took an infrastructure position to rebuild a provincial healthcare system. Hi!! I’m an HR Coordinator currently (about two years of experience) but my job has so many responsibilities and tasks I’m beyond burnt out. It’s truly impossible to focus on one task because things are constantly being thrown my way. I’ve heard whisperings of a promotion or raise, but my workload is already too much, I don’t know if I’d want to accept more responsibility. Is it normal to feel like you have just as many responsibilities as your superiors who make 30k+ more than you?
