Is there really value in a top MBA on sponsorship if you're already at MBB and looking to stay in consulting for at least the medium term (and potentially long term)? Assume I don't need "a fun break", which seems to be common rationale. On a personal level, the time spent in long distance with my wife + two years of lost income hurts. But if there are long term benefits, I may stomach it.

I’m an MBB Manager. Studied abroad at a non-target school (BA and MA) and made my way up. I’m very proud of that, but also wondering if it’s worth taking 1-2 years off to pursue and MBA at an Ivy League. I don’t see myself in consulting long term + It’ll probably be fully paid for by me.
