How are people getting interview calls from Walmart, Amazon, Cisco, and Apple these days?

I have 7+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer and have been applying consistently, including through referrals, but I'm hardly getting any responses or interview calls.

If anyone has recently interviewed with or joined these companies, could you share what worked for you? Resume tips, recruiter outreach strategies, hiring channels, or anything else that helped.

I interviewed at Google and cleared all onsite interviews back in July. Then came the hiring freeze and my role was de-prioritized. Now I'm being called for another position which I applied through the same recruiter before for the same group but different role. My question is will Google reuse the positive feedback and will it help/add value to this new position?

I'm having two 2nd-to-last rounds for non-G FAANGs this week, but I haven't heard if/when I am advancing in interviews for 2 different roles at G that I last interviewed or phone screened for 2 weeks ago. I want to join a start up in my industry but I need to rescind a job acceptance from a more establish company. I resigned from my old job and didn’t start the new job yet. Is the non compete I signed, as part of the job offer acceptance for the position with the bigger company, enforceable if I rescind my job acceptance before I actually start a new job? I don’t think it is. I didn’t receive a sign on bonus so no additional consideration was exchanged from my understanding of my law classes.
