Man seeing all the divorcees at my firm... does anyone else feel like divorce laws should be revamped?

Hi can you please help me with the right marital status when applying for German visa. I am a separated women but not a divorcee yet. Will it be a problem if I put my marital status as single. I have a kid. So will it be difficult if I need to take her with me . If I put single in visa will it be changing in my taxation.

I don't love my parents. I think they're hardworking, but they're not the parents that I needed when I was growing up. Moved away from them the moment I was able to. Don't really want to visit them any time soon.

I feel like gay men especially are constantly discriminated against in the workplace. I have been turned down for a promotion, yet again, in favor of a married heterosexual with kids. This has been the story of my career. Have superior experience - stellar reviews - people fighting to get on to my team because our team is great and I treat everyone well. This is so frustrating. Again and again, it’s a culture of parents helping other parents. No gays in upper level mgmt in our office.

I got into a small argument with my bf about our future and he said something along the lines that he thinks I don’t want this instead I want to want this. We have resolved the core issue which was mainly a misunderstanding but thinking back at it I think he’s right. I'm an SA, and my fiance is finishing up her residency and loves the medical field. I make good money and have a house but I feel like the relationship and the obligations (house, family) are anchors and holding me back from living my life. I want to sell and live on the road, traveling and being free.

I love my fiance and my family but I just want to quit everything and just hit the road.

Fiance does not want that lifestyle. Shes more of a 2-3 weeks of vacation is good.

Am I being dumb?

Any parents here with 5-16 year old kids who are also struggling with this whole rainbow movement going on in US? I graduated last year and was working with my university until last month. I extended my STEM OPT with my university before July 5th (first year OPT expiry). I got a new opportunity right after submitting my application & I notified my change in employer (submitted updated I-20 & I-983).
Last Friday, I got another opportunity that is way better than the current one and I don't want to miss. My STEM OPT application is still under review. Would it be okay if I change my employer again. Thanks!
