What cert to go for next? Currently have AWS-SAA and Security+. Thinking about CISSP but how difficult is it compared to the AWS-SAA?
Need to recertify my AWS-SAA cert. any recommendations on best resources given the new test format (SAA-CO2)?
Is it worth it to get a professional certification like SHRM/PHR? Not many of my colleagues have one and it’s not a requirement for my role, but I’m curious if it’s worth it in the long run
Hoping to seek everyone’s advice here! I recently moved in-house and have more free time to invest in myself. Which direction would you suggest that I look to for growth? - UX/UI - Coding - Data Analytics - SHRM - PMP - Others?
Has anybody heard of a green MBA? Does it have any value if you want to break into a sustainability-oriented field?
I have heard that McKinsey allows some BAs to move quickly to EM (although sounds like it’s fairly rare to be in 3 years?). When that does happen, do they manage post MBA associates, or just BAs?
What are some examples of post MBA job opportunities for someone looking to stay in healthcare? I’m aware of the LDP programs from pharma, but haven’t seen too much else in the employment reports
I need to pivot my career and part time mba is perfect for me. What b school will help me without breaking big buck. I don’t care about prestige and brand. I just need to pivot into product from software.
Seeking to transition out of the current industry into cloud computing. Spent the last 2+ years learning and acquiring experience in AWS, CI/CD, Jenkins, AWS Pipeline, GitHub, and Terraform. Honing Bash and Shell scripting. Picked up certifications as a PMP, AWS Cloud Practitioner, and AWS Solution Architect Associate along the way. Already have an MBA. What is the best way to break into the cloud and/or DevOps community?
USC Marshall MBA, thoughts?
Does pre-MBA T2 consulting experience help or hurt for M7 summer internship interviews at MBB? Have heard prior consulting is helpful but have also heard that MBB doesnt like “bad habits” formed at other consulting firms.
Hello, I applied for a controller job and they are considering me. I am currently a senior 3 but jumped firm and took a lower level to get in big 4. I think I can do the job but am freaking out now lol 😂. I am a CPA, I also have an MBA and a CFA , not that the MBA and CFA are relevant. I need help , how hard is the controller work?
Considering leaving Bain with 2 years in SM role, HSW MBA, and 11 years since undergrad. Google role is non-technical Cloud Strategy. Unsure of title or level at this point - called "lead" but contact indicated flexibility. Would be remote in a non-SF/NY location. Mgr indicated it was technically an individual contributor role though I would be managing 2 people. What comp/level should I expect (Assuming L6?)? What is the significance of the IC role if I'm technically managing 2?
If I wanted to begin the MBA prep/application process now, would I be looking at the fall 2022 admissions rounds? I assume I’ve missed the boat on the current year? Also has anyone done a gap year/volunteered after securing a slot in an MBA program? Thanks.
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Something on my mind is how I often hear my white male friends complaining about affirmative action biasing their mba eligibility, but when I point out white people have it easier than Asians they become very defensive. Funny how they can see themselves as the victim but not that they benefit from the system. Would y’all agree with the premise (Asians have it harder than white people)? If so, have you noticed this white defensiveness in your life?
Looking for a good headhunting agency in Chicago specializing in MBA placement. My friend is an international student from a mid-tier school. This political climate is not helping internationals :(
What are some post MBA job opportunities for those looking to stay in healthcare? I’m aware of the leadership programs from big pharma, but haven’t seen too much else
I believe MBA has somewhere lost its value. In the age of technology, one should pursue Technology related courses rather than spending a hefty amount on MBA. What's your view on this fishes?
What’s a reasonable salary bump to look for if I’m trying to jump from one big four to another? Currently at 100k with 4.5 YOE at DT
Please give like to activate my DM…
Interviewing for a role at KPMG in their Finance Transformation group as an Associate with 1 YOE. What should I be expecting in terms of salary (ballpark is fine)? HCOL
Hi All, It’s been a week since I last heard from pwc in regards to my interview. I gave them my availability for next week but I’m on holiday and few of the days won’t be at home. Shall I follow up with recruiter and make them aware that I’m still waiting for something to be scheduled. Really don’t want to keep waiting…
Is anyone an Art Director at Away — the luggage brand? If so, can you please DM me? I have a question regarding fair salary! Thanks so much! :)
I’d like to hear from partners on this, but when’s the best time to negotiate a raise? And how much do you think is too much to ask for?
I'm supposed to be working right now, but ended up looking and applying for jobs instead. Who says procrastination can't be productive?
Received a note from a recruiter for a role I feel I am overqualified for....but at a company that I'd be interested in joining. Any value in having a conversation with the recruiter anyway?
Wanting to get out of fed space. I am a data scientist with 5YOE. What are good companies to look for in DC area that’d hire someone with gov consulting experience? Or should I go to a consulting company on commercial side?
BCG Fish. What is the main difference between coming in as a Project Lead and a Principal?
Hey friends, so 2 companies I know nothing about but would like to learn more. Amazon advertising, and Mustache in nyc Company culture, work/life balance, types of jobs you get to work on, whatever you know I’m all ears! Thanks!
Creating a company and going the self funded route. Is it silly for me to cut tax advantage account contributions (e.g., 401k) to gain cash on hand? - even if I lose firm contributions.
Interview tomorrow and recruiter encouraged me to have notes out to keep track of my stories (5 interviews, 1 hour each). Should I acknowledge and ask each interviewer if it's ok for me to have notes out? I feel like it'd feel weird for me to very obviously glance at my screen after a question every once in a while without acknowledging what's going on or asking permission.
If anyone is looking for a roommate + new place, my current roommate (28m) is renting out a BR in a 2BR/2BA condo in Logan Square. Gym, rooftop deck, dedicated bathroom, and patio. Ideal location in Logan Square. Late Aug/early Sep availability. DM me for more details!

Do you think parental leave policies and the culture around it at your company are fair?
Throwing this into the ether: ~missed connection~ I’m looking for the really handsome and nice guy who helped me find LL2 on Friday.
