How did you decorate your personal space/private office/home office? Are you the litigator with bankers boxes stacked everywhere out the door or are you compulsively beat? Posters or real art?

Super neat and organized litigator, but I put up posters and knickknacks that reflect my personality. I also dust often.

I need to dust. I think it’s been years. :(

I have some plants, a lamp, pictures. Nothing crazy, but if I spend 50+ hours a week here, I want it to be an enjoyable space.

I was raised by a Marine so both my regular office and home office are super organized. No banker boxes or files laying around not on a book shelf. My firm will provide certain things like a stand up desk if we want one, but otherwise it’s up to us and we don’t get to pick the furniture or the office. My regular office at the firm has some framed prints of impressionist art and some personal photographs but that’s about it outside of the furniture itself. My home office where I work the majority of my time is actually about three times the size of my regular office (we put it in the FROG), and has a large executive desk, comfortable sitting chair, TV, and is lined with bookshelves on the walls.

I recently switched firms and partners at my new firm have made comments about me needing art on my office walls. I have a plant and two small framed photos on my desk but have personally had trouble finding wall art that fits my office vibe and isn’t crazy expensive... I’ve looked at some decor stores but I’m not trying to spend $300 on a print.

Take a photo you like and have it blown up on canvas. Or find downloadable art from Etsy and have it blown up on canvas. I have one in my office and every single person in my office has complimented it. Little do they know it cost me $33!

I have like four plants and a lamp. Maybe I should put up my diploma or something. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Same.

I know everyone has a different kind of setup that works for them. I currently have a laptop, drawing pad, second monitor, and a desk riser.

Selling a Tresanti standing desk (see photo). Listing at $275 but negotiable. Like new condition, owned for less than 2 years. Features: Adjustable height desk (height range 29.4 in - 47 in), complete with 2 USB ports, wireless charging, storage drawer, and other features! DM if interested!
