So let's assume you started around 18. Years old + the 39.5 years. That puts you around 57.5 or older. Asking what your pay range against a younger audience of employees who are looking to retain a career for the next 30+ years. You're a well seasoned veteran and should be at the top of your pay scale but past the point of rocking that boat. You're at the point of solely coasting off towards retirement.
I’d start with Glassdoor checking salary ranges for RMAs in your geographic area. You’re probably somewhere in the top range but also take into account the different medical fields. Big vs small company, private vs corporate, optical pays less id presume than medical. There can be a wide array of varying ranges based on your specific role and area of medicine. If you work in a big org you or your boss should be able to look on the internal company site and find job roles and pay ranges. If they haven’t been transparent with you on what their pay range for your role is … that’s a little sus.
