Has anyone interviewed with Amazon in the last 6 months. I finished my loop for a finance role. It’s been 8 business days and no update from the recruiter. I mailed the recruiter who said apologies for the delay but we will get back to you with next steps. Has anyone had this experience and what was the outcome Amazon

It sounds like you’re talking about an internal transfer position? And if so, is it for the same role you’re in now (just on a different team), or is it a completely different role? Each hiring manager will handle things in their own way, but those interviewers will be assigned specific LPs and/or functional competencies just like for external loops. The difference is that you’re already an Amazonian and assumed to meet the bar, so they’ll typically be evaluating against factors that are considered particularly important, specific, or unique to the actual position. For example, as an AE, maybe there are particular considerations for the customer(s) that make things like dealing with executives, handling greenfield customers, handling high/low cloud maturity customers particularly important? Maybe background or understanding of specific industries, their unique challenges, etc. are a focus area. Too many factors to enumerate, but the more you understand in advance what is needed at the position you’re transferring into and what stories/examples from your experience apply to demonstrate your competence in that role the better. And like always, have LP stories ready.
