How do the republicans here explain away why Trump has picked:
- Someone with no experience beyond 3 years private practice to lead the DOj (who is coincidentally being investigated by the DOJ for child sex trafficking)
- Someone who served in the military before becoming a Fox News commentator for the last ten years but had no admin experience to run the DOD (one of the largest entities in the world)
- A vaccine denier with no formal health or scientific training to run HHS

I am a lifelong Democrat and voted for Kamala, but I think we need to respect the choice the American people made with Trump, whether we like it or not. We also need to accept his nominee so that he can shape policies that American people provided with the mandate.

The only qualification to become part of Trumps administration is a mugshot and/or vast experience denigrating women. Men who have sexual experience with underage girls go to the front of the line.

You left out the Russian stooge Tulsi to oversee the nations secrets. Really good idea to give a person access who thinks Assad is a good guy and the west is bad…

Not a fan of Gaetz because of his antics with McCarthy. As far as the ethics investigation, unless there was something concrete there, I would be inclined to ignore since the DoJ investigated and elected not to charge. AG’s don’t prosecute so that is not a disqualification for me.

No issue with Hegseth. Double Ivy Leaguer and combat vet. Heavily involved with veteran issues. Our current SecDef had experience and went AWOL for a week. I would much rather it wasn’t one of the largest entities in the world. Perhaps we should focus on that?

I don’t think RFK is a vaccine denier. He is a skeptic and while I disagree with a lot of what he says, we need more skeptics in leadership positions. Out current HHS chair is a lawyer and politician. Shalala was an academic. We don’t need the secretary to treat patients. We need them to lead agencies.

I appreciate this - but pretty sure he’s a bad dude. He also has no relevant experience and was not a prosecutor. Garland was a leading jurist.

Hegseth was in the armed forces, but the job has nothing to do with that. Great you want defense to be smaller but have you seen the state of the world recently? Defense isn’t going anywhere.
RFK is absolutely a vaccine denier - google American Samoa RFK

Looking for some advice as I am considering relocating to US. How difficult is for HR professionals to get a work visa? I think from what I read I qualify under eb3 (no master yet) or h1b. How do for do about looking for positions that sponsor your visa? I'm in the defense sector and have previously healthcare and financial services experience. Also worked in global matrix organisations with US teams so know the culture quite well. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Performance reviews coming at the end of the this year and I’m wondering 1) if my salary is on par with what I should expect 2) how to approach conversations about raises and promotion with my supervisor. Thanks for any insights.
