How do you deal with a boss who has a bias against you and demoralizes you? Calling him out a bad idea?

Has anyone butted heads with an office manager their age? We have a new one who seems to be trying to control my schedule during Covid (ie she assigns me office days without asking me, if I leave the office early or don’t come in one day due to video calls she emails me and tells me I need to inform her of my whereabouts), when that has never been part of her job duties before. Partners don’t care that I WFH.

Gave my notice, HR pushed my term date up, then goes back on what they said because they realized they needed bodies to help out. 🙄 like why didn’t you double check with the scheduler and teams earlier. literally stated it in my email too. I can’t wait to leave 🥳

She mentioned a meeting THREE weeks ago where, during a meeting, I said one single thing that showed I was unhappy with not being included in a particular meeting (for a project I was leading), and my tone made it clear I was unhappy about it. Late night thoughts and will probably delete this in regret but how do you deal with feelings of rage when seeing/hearing/experiencing injustices around the world? I’m my partners only associate and I went on parental leave two weeks ago. I feel horrible for leaving him to handle our cases alone, but am trying to focus on my wife and new baby. That being said, should I still offer to handle minor matters that come in to ease the workload off my boss? He’s been super cool during my entire leave, so I don’t feel pressured to one bit.

I’ve been asked by a client to coach their team on how to structure and write scripts for their corporate event content (e.g. panel discussions). I’ve happily had a crack at helping them but it’s a bit out of my wheelhouse - is this ask something that would ordinarily be given to an agency copywriter? Or would it usually be something a content or speech writer would do?
Either way, I’m happy to add the additional skill to my CV 😅

What can a junior associate do about a mid-level that constantly asks questions about things they were cc’d on, sends dozens of piecemeal emails and is generally just super high strung and needs everything right away?? No other mid-levels I’ve worked with act this way and this individual I’m working with is driving me insane and I’ve spent countless hours attaching emails and saying “as explained in the attached email…”

while at a client, i saw a member of our leadership that i normally don’t, and gave him a hug. no idea why. didn’t feel super awkward, but i can’t stop kinda self-cringing about it.

Can I just vent on how annoyed I am with the increase in “priority boarding” of people that are able bodied? I am happy to let them on first. But I think they should get off last. So many times they are limping or in a wheelchair boarding. And then when we land that are the first to jump up and scurry off. Just not ethical.
