I had interviewed with Deloitte UK consulting in June/July and was called by the HR team by the end of July that the interviews were positive and they're sending for approval for an offer to be rolled out. I was called back later in September and told that the role is on hold due to a hiring freeze. Is anyone else in this situation and have you'll heard back from the HR team post that

No one knows what tf they’re doing. Fake it ‘til you make it. They’ll show you the ropes and you’re gonna do great!
Thank you PM and all of you, I do need to remember I have no idea if everyone else has their sh*t together either.
You wouldn’t have gotten the job if they didn’t believe you could do it!
Thank you! This is something I need to hold on to.
If you’ve been at a smaller company you’ve had to build deep long-lasting relationships with teams, get creative and scrap for resources and attention.
Starting at a big brand, you have a more high profile resume and expertise in the latest most expensive tools and media but you don’t have to use those hustle skills as much. You’re getting the best of both and you’ve already done the really hard stuff - just soak in the new with confidence.
Reflect on your accomplishments. When you next find yourself spiraling, force yourself to stop and take a look at your surroundings. Remember how far you've come and all the obstacles and challenges you've surmounted along the way. Go through any awards or certifications you might've earned. Try to remember any positive feedback you may have received.
Fake it til you make it!
Agreed with others. We’re all lost. We’re all making it up as we go. Take comfort in that!
Congratulations on the new career position! Agree that you’ve got what the company needs so your confidence will build up as you meet people at your new employer. If you are a permanent employee, you will be onboarded and nurtured and probably shadow a few colleagues to get up to speed. In the possible even that you are contracted….seek out as many resources at the company through meet and greets 30 min calls with everyone you can —-both peers and cross functional team members. Your confidence will grow exponentially when everyone meets you and sees your enthusiasm, motivation, and authenticity to contribute to shared business goals. Good luck! You got this!! 🎊🎉
Chances are, the work you did in the trenches at your smaller company is MORE than transferable at the new job. You surely haven't learned everything but just be open to criticism and everything should be fine.
Remind yourself that you wouldn't be in that position if you didn't belong there. If you beat out all the other candidates they had for the position, they must have saw something in you. You don't have to know everything right away. You will learn as you go.
The bigger the company the less scrutiny in my experience. It’s easier to sweep things under the rug when it’s a big operation with a lot of people and a lot of money to spend. Nobody knows what they’re doing, you’ll probably be the most skilled there.
Piece of advice: Find a person or group of people who you can bounce ideas off of and who will encourage you to press on, face your fears, and enjoy your successes.
I’m still trying to figure that out
Remember that you're not alone. The next time you find yourself doubting your capabilities, remind yourself that it's normal. Almost everyone you know is likely to have experienced it at some point.
You'll never know until you try it! Don't take for granted all the experience you learned at your smaller company and just come into your new role all ears! You'll do great.
In the first place, you wouldn't have gotten in if you didn't meet their standards. If you can't have confidence, just pretend and show it off like you do. You'll do great!
I agree with the comments above. Fake it till you make it. They wouldn't know the difference. You got this!
Acknowledge, validate, then let go. I also go through this every so often. I doubt my capablities a lot especially now that I'm also in a bigger company so I'm glad I found this one specific "saying" that gave me so much comfort, "you wouldn't be here if you weren't good enough".
You've got this. It. Will. Scale.
80% of the doubts you THINK about, no one KNOWS about.
Have an excellent first day!
Lean in to what you know. You got hired for a reason. You have value. Reach out if you don't know something. Trust your instincts. Hold your allies close.
(That’s all I've got. We all struggle with this, my friend) :)
Big companies are scary from the outside but most run on auto-pilot, so I’d say working in a mid-sized business or a scaling up one can actually be more challenging.
