not allowed in the bedroom and turned off an hour before bed. that helps with sleep.
+1 for this. I also don't look at my phone for at least half an hour after I wake up.
-Delete the apps where you waste the most time, if you do reinstall them don’t save the password (makes it less of an autopilot impulse and gives you a moment to reconsider)
-in the morning I only allow myself to briefly check my calendar and the weather to help figure out what to wear and email in case of any fire drills

Change your display to grayscale - you won’t feel like you’re missing out but you won’t be satisfied looking at your phone either so you’ll look at it less. I doubted it until I tried it for a few days!
