How do you present at work? Do you present “androgynous” or go with something more cis-passing?

I need some advice from advisors who have brought other “Junior” Advisors on. What is a fair split? Currently I have passed on my smaller clients to them, as well as providing consistent leads for them to call and meet with. The individual is working to build their own book of business, but up to now doesn’t have much production. They have only been in the business for about 2 years. I recently joined a small-sized product based company.I have not been able to get along with my manager. He does not give me full information on assigned tasks and expects me to follow his order to the letter like in a military. When I ask him doubts he either scolds me or laughs at me like I am dumb. Preparing to give notice to my current firm. Accepted an amazing opportunity to lateral at a more prestigious firm (better compensation, lower billables, and shorter commute).
I’m excited to make this jump, but it’s still bittersweet for me because the partners at my current firm are truly amazing and I have learned a lot from them over the past few years and will miss them a lot. Any insight on the best way to have this convo without burning bridges? Thanks!

My hands are shaking!! I just got off a call with my toxic manager who is clearly not happy I am being poached for another division. I tried to hold firm as he attempted to 20 question me, who was it, who wants me, what division, how did they find out about me? And of course the gaslighting of “why didn’t you come to me I could have helped or made introductions”. Clearly everything is about him. How have you handled such situations? What could I have done better with my abusive manager?
