How have you handled pregnancy and looking for a new role at the same time? Is it better to look now? (It sounds like you usually don’t get paid maternity leave unless you’ve been there more than a year which I wouldn’t). Or use the maternity leave at my current role as a natural break and look for a new role after? I’d be a first time parent so I’m just not sure what to expect with juggling a kid and a career, or how a ~6 month break would look to employers on my resume.

Advice on pivoting into Sales from Accounting? I know I have the skills and it’s a better fit, personality-wise. I am not a super technical accountant, but my background is still a super strong skill set I bring to the table with me (the ability to process and translate the technical to layman’s terms, and the anticipation of client needs and wants). It's sad to see people with 2-3 years of experience getting paid more than you when u have double the experience. 😄 Best part is they are still complaining of getting less. Well I guess you should never settle. New gen is giving a hard time to the experienced folks. I think this is the high time to upgrade your skills. Come out of your comfort zone and start looking for new opportunities. I think this is the best time to switch if u haven't already in quite some time.

A colleague told me today that Google separates Product Manager and Product Owner as two separate roles. Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .
