I had an interview with them last month (after accepting another offer) and it seems like it’s much more of a sales support role rather than a strategy role. It seems like it centered around research and writing rather than analysis. They also wouldn’t tell me the comp range before doing the few hour long take home test (which was just a writing exercise).

I recently graduated with a bachelors in finance, and have recently got hired (5 months ago) as a financial analyst. Realistically I do FP&A for a company. I have realized I am not a huge fan of doing non stop spreadsheet all day. Am thinking I’d enjoy my career more by becoming a financial planner and getting my CFP certification. Maybe in the future opening up my own firm. Any advice on what career move to make next in order to accomplish this? CFP requires 3 years of relative experience.

The things that matter the most to me are the ability to work remotely, Pay, stress level , if I need to work on weekends( or wake up early to accommodate clients from another time zone) .
