Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.
Did TBWA/Wildtype have layoffs??

You get a JD (Juris Doctorate) when you graduate from law school, not when you pass the bar. You still have to take and pass the bar exam, because just having the JD is not enough of a certification per EY's standards.
I don't understand. Do you not want to be a manager? Do you not have your CPA/JD?
Yes OP, that's why I asked. Do you not intend to get it? If not, you can be a senior for a long time, but prepare yourself for more responsibility and 1% raises after senior 3. We have one "permanent senior" in our office. Also, I'm tax, so this could differ by service line.
Enrolled Agent. Generally at EY, you can get promoted with that, but it starts a clock and you need to get your CPA/JD in one year or you're forced out/demoted
Law school. You get a JD when you pass the bar
Probably like 3-4 years after you get senior
I was sr for 3 yrs before making audit manager
EY1- currently I do not have certification nor CPA. The rule is in order to be a manger one must have a certification or CPA.
Good question. Isn't there other certifications they allow in place of the CPA if you want to be promoted
I know of a tax senior that doesn't have certification to be promoted. She's been a senior like 7 years.
Just get your cpa. If you are in a speciality tax SL like SALT they may allow you to promote if you get an ea certification instead.
What's the EA certification?
I just looked up the long toothed senior I referred to on DPN... she's been with the firm 14 years.
Wow that's crazy
Sorry again but what's the JD?
Ah gotcha, thanks guys.
You can stay a senior forever. Just need to accept that you won't get raises.
