How long does your kids Daycare stay close if a Covid case is detected?
Ours in NYC closes down for 5 days in addition to the requirement to show a negative test after Day 3.

I think it varies a lot by geography as it’s usually based on local city/county health guidelines

Ours was doing two weeks until recently! It's insane.

What a nightmare. Which city?

They've never closed due to a covid case but my daycare is in a woman's home so maybe that's why

Do you guys continue to pay for daycare even though it closes due to COVID for days/weeks?

Yes, though it has been less than 10 days over the year

Little bit of a rant: I’ve been having trouble over the past year convincing my mom to get the vaccine, culminating in a screaming match today.

Her main reservation is that she is scared of the side effects, even though the rest of our family and her friends have gotten it. She also has some preexisting conditions that would make catching Covid that much worse. Her doctors have also green lit the vaccine. At this point, I don’t know what else to do….

Hi guys I have an offer from Accenture and no issues in terms of CTC, job profile or other things. The only thing I am skeptical about is the job security. Do they really get rid of employees in a regular basis or the covid situation was a one time measure? This would probably be the last switch in my career and security would be of utmost importance to me. Please advise

Ps this is Covid related bc all I do anymore is work and watch tv.

Apologies if this topic has already been discussed, but it seems my search bar is not working.
I have 7 years of experience working with big pharma companies. I am used to communicating nicely, politely, respectfully. The same way I want to be treated. No issues. But I recently had some feedback that I might be too nice and I should be more professional with my coworkers, especially my manager. I already get anxious and overthink every email and chat. Should I work on this?

As per the above logic, what should be my expectations as per the current market standard. Any suggestions will be helpful
