4. Most top schools target 3-5 for regular mba.

Looked into it as SC 3YOE. Took gmat and all then was going to apply but made manager then decided not to. Not worth roi anymore

I think it just has to do with how you manage time. I was working 80+ weeks in CDDs a lot but still had weekends and 30 mins in the mornjng in uber to do a couple questions or sth. I was always a good test taker. Had good SAT score and prepped for LSAT for a bit back in college. A lot of these standardized tests are similr in a sense that you can learn tricks to maximize probabiluty if choosing "right answer" even when you dont know whats the right one

I had 3.5 years of WE experience when I matriculated to MBA. At my program there were a few people who came direct from undergrad, but most had at least 3 yoe

Technically 2.5 but in terms of hours actually doing work, maybe like 120. I don’t know why or how but I literally did not have a job that required actual work until I joined a F50 at 30.

3 YOE, skipped the GMAT given I qualified for the waiver. Completed the program in 2 years.

Yea, the initial transition of mindset can be a lot. Focus on your ambitions and your path, leverage those around you.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
