How much in base comp should I look for in an exit if I have 4 years of experience, 2 in public and 2 in industry as staff accountant? I’m looking to get a senior accountant or financial analyst role? When is it ok to ask for a sign on bonus?

Can anyone explain why insurance defence work in the US is such a terrible place to be? I work in insurance defence / coverage (financial lines) based in London and it doesn’t seem like it has as negative of a reputation as it does in the US, why is that? 👀

Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. I would appreciate any input!!!!

If you make it to senior manager at big four can you leave and become partner or director at mid size firm? Is this hard to do? I know there is a lot of politics at big four and have no interest staying in a senior manager role for 6-8 years and risk a chance of still not becoming partner. Big4 has clear trajectory and interesting work.

F100 has 14% bonus, perm remote, and immediate vesting 401k over 7%.
