Paypal Hello, I've been offered Data engineer /Software Engineer at PayPal, india.
How's the company doing, is it profitable? Bit skeptical about the recent layoffs at PayPal.
Any data engineers at PayPal around? Whats your thoughts, how's the team doing and how would be the growth?

We don’t get anything for passing the PE but $5k when you become a PE
Hello everyone and God Bless this fantastic group of people and professionals…!
I just started a new job on Monday…
I am a Civil Engineer who never took the EIT exam, hence never had ambitions of becoming a P.E. I develop my experience on technical sales, construction equipment sales, and lately, continuing as a Project Manager for small businesses…
After 10 years of freelancing and owning a family logistics-dispatching business, I’ve decided to look into the labor market since November of last year… The economy in the transportation business has declined to such point that I was not even making the breaking point! —> Finally after 5-months of digging around, I had to hire a professional to do my resume in the process, and also elevate my educational skills! In the meantime I enrolled in an accelerator course in Project Management, which gave me great theory skills that I used to be printed into my resume… Anyways, this realtor-house flipping company gave me the chance to work for them under a probationary period (1-1/2 month) which I accepted and they will pay me $3,500. After this set time, they will decide if they’ll keep me or not… If everything is ok by then we will reconvene and discuss my anual salary… They’re looking to pay me around $75,000 per year… What do you guys think? I will be 56 years in April 24th, and I believe we are living in a very tough labor market and that my age does not favor me!!! Shall I take or keep looking for a more fortunate deal????

I'm not sure we get anything for becoming a PE
well, I didn't give my employer a chance to give me the raise they promised me, which might have been from 75k to 85k, I think they sort of winced at 90k which was foolish since I was a medium voltage specialist in commercial/light-industrial. At the exact time I passed, I was applying for jobs and plotting my escape to a HCOL metro and so it's hard to filter out the combination that I started out not making what I was worth based on my specialist skills, and then I moved to a high-cost metro, and then I also now had a PE. In that next role I asked for and received a 110k salary. So 75k to 110k.
