How rampant is proxy interviews in product based companies. Now I am seeing services built around interview proxies. Are the interviewers given any instruction to keep a look out for such candidates. I personally don't cheat and I have found myself at the receiving end of things. It is so frustrating sometimes when you are shown the door even after a good round.

My friend is working for a non-profit, has lots of transferable skills, and is willing to learn…but his job applications haven’t gained much traction. I think it’s because he’s looking to move towards a more corporate org and those recruiters don’t necessarily know what to make of his past experience.
