Could just be me, but I feel you need to understand primary insurance underwriting first. Every RI UW position I have seen wants UWijg experience

I went from accounting to ceded re, now working both ceded re ops and placement. It is possible, getting cpcu/are may help. Network internally and see what you can learn/cross train. My first week working in insurance, I sat in on ILF calculations with the actuarial students.

I am starting to believe 35+ of having not managed my ADHD has really negatively impacted me in career growth etc. I'm realizing a lot of things about myself are because of the ADHD. I want better for myself and family but 1. I don't enjoy the same things forever 2. Imposter syndrome and RSD make me believe it's acceptable to start over in new places at low salaries. 3. Typical college won't work for me. 4. I also can't relocate.

Please advice better one for me to join considering perks and benefits and career growth. I know WLB is better at Wells.

MBB? Or a mid cap VC ($500 AUM, not a name brand like Sequoia). Post MBA level at both, no promotions assumed. Not necessarily focused on future VC path over the long term, but interested in experimenting.

I don’t get it: Why would anyone invest, for example, in a 6% dividend yield etf with a 0.50% ER (ie EMHY) instead of a 9% dividend yield etf with a 2.5 ER (ie YYY)? Wouldn’t you still be getting better results with the expensive one?

PPMDs, if an employee comes to you and ask for support to join a different group within the firm and the employees ends up not getting the other role, do you typically treat them differently after (e.g., not staffing them on as many deals) / would you hold them back from promotion the following year?
