I just hit $200k NW and it’s been 7 months since I made my post (link below) about hitting $100k NW in Dec ‘21.
I’m just mind-blown since it took me 2.5 years to get the first $100k and it’s snowballed from there. I’ve gone from $82.5k TC to $238k TC plus a $20k appreciation on a house I bought at the beginning of the year
Can’t really talk about finances with friends/family so this is the only place I can share milestones like this haha…we’ll see if I can hit $300k by EOY

@ Strategic Planner. Typically they’re called Story Researchers. Hope this helps! The best people to get in with for this type of work are producers
Who does all the historical accuracy research for movies like Dunkirk, or series like Narcos?
I have done some freelance work in the field. Would not switch over. The work is inconsistent. Doesn’t typically pay well. Worse egos than advertising. Blah. But fun side work if you can get it!
Great question! I wanna know too..
Working in programming or development would be close in some ways
Yes, I lived in LA. Knew producers and directors. But a lot of agencies there are doing some of this work too because entertainment has such a stronghold on the city. If they are helping to launch a show for example there’s tons of audience research to be done that is very close to this. Look at zambezi and loyalkaspar they both do a lot of tv work.
@SD1 thanks for info based on your knowledge of the role would you want to switch over? why or why not?
@SD1 how did you get freelance work doing that? someone you know in tv?
@SD2 programming seems like it’d be pretty fun and rewarding if it does well
