Benefits are the same. You just get paid more but that comes generally with longer working hours and higher expectations.

Bad, dragged down by PwC. Weak 401k match (25% of your first 6%, so 1.25%); however they contribute ~4% to a similar retirement account with no employee contribution required, so effectively a max 5.25% employer retirement contribution. Extremely long vesting period - 5 years Horribly expensive healthcare plans Below manager, only 15 vacation days (jumps to 22 after 2 years) Only good thing I can think of is paternity leave

22 days is not for all levels

Does anyone have any info about the program for very long-tenured IFS staff, where the firm will pay for your health insurance after you retire if you meet certain tenure requirements? Something like, if you’ve been with the firm for over 30 years by the time you retire. The firm may have discontinued this but some people are grandfathered in. Anyone have details?

Interested in hearing anyone’s thoughts or experiences moving to a new market recently (since everything has gone remote). Currently an associate making cravath comp in a large city (not new DPW scale yet) but have been trying to move to a different market to be closer to family. New market is on the low range of compensation, but I’d continue to work with other attorneys in large metro areas. It seems like some firms are nationalizing comp. Any successful negotiations?
