How’s the situation in the Middle East? Are there any layoffs planned due to the market slowdown and Covid19?

If you know your performance is being monitored after being reprimanded earlier in the month and the HR randomly sets up a meeting with you at the end of the month regarding a review of your performance, is that generally a good thing or a bad thing?

I feel like I'm about to be fired and I'm really anxious about it. At the same time, I've kind of lost care because I've been battling depression and anxiety for a while and I've recently realized I've lost interest in the legal field altogether.

Just got benched, been completely billable till now, how long until I should be worried about potential layoffs? (Even though management is “committed” to not letting people go during covid)

Am I the only person who has been super disgusted to Fishbowl’s response to the Meta layoffs? I’ve been laid off twice in my career but I’m not mad at 11000 people who no longer have jobs just cause they got decent severance while I got a week on my way out. Good news for those who are in recruitment phase in PERM process and were paused due to offices closed. DOL no longer requires physical job notice in offices if they are closed due to covid...now job notice can be posted electronically and recruitment can wrap up.

How have y’all been able to recover from relationships that ended in a mature way where neither party was objectively wrong/both still care for each other? Covid times caused life events that exacerbated my partner’s depression which triggered my anxiety. After a heart to heart, we decided that it’d be better for both of us to separate. My past relationships ended due to cheating/toxicity, so I’m having trouble on how to navigate this.

I have an H1b which I received in 2019 and was valid till august2021, due to covid I wasn't able to travel and then I switched to another firm last year in November. If I get visa transfer, will it provide me a validity back as I haven't used any on site time on that visa.
