I guess it’s fine for you to list that as hybrid. It does sound like a remote role so you could list it as remote. You could just say remote role with occasional meetings in office. That’s how I’ve seen jobs listed.

That’s a good point. The reason I wanted to list it is hybrid was a had people complain when I listed as something similar as remote before. They would fight with me about not wanting to be in the area.
Definitely list as hybrid, do you mind sharing the job listing once you post?
Pro
Sorry, can’t do that as I am pretty candid on here and don’t want to out myself.
At first I was going to suggest Remote with travel but imo that would imply the company pays for said travel days. If this isn't the case I would keep it to listed as hybrid.
Oof and DC area is a tough one because you have SO many candidates in a 25 mile radius in the DMV... but 25 miles could mean a 1.5+ hr commute!!
Now that kinda makes me want to flip my answer to remote. I wonder if you lay it out "remote with X working days in office." DC is tricky for how you would want to categorize it.

Remote to me means fully remote - so no going in person for these exceptions. The only way I would list as remote is if you specified that in the posting
Remote
How many days a week/month are in office? If it's only once per month. I think you can skate by and call it remote. If it's 3x per week in office,I think you have to call it hybrid. Either way, narrow the focus to local candidates.
Remote with monthly travel required
I would list it as hybrid and make clear in the job ad that the position would be mostly remote with the exception of the occasional meeting.
