I'm curious what the average salary is for an Associate Agent. I'm licensed & do everything after the sale is made as well as refer new business. I have 14 years in the industry but have been at the current company less than a year, so I know that plays a part as well. Anyone in a like-position by chance?State Farm Allstate Travelers

Hey! It’s a little different everywhere, but typically they ask you what salary you’re expecting before they make an offer, and they try to hit that number if they can.
My advice is, if you think they’re going to offer you below what you want, send the recruiter and ask them what the “salary range” is for this position.
Thank you for your reply. I think I mention I want to get top of the range. This means the recruiter and I agreed on a salary range already. Let's say the range is 50K to 70K. I want to negotiate and get the 70K and, if possible, maybe 80K. The reason is my seniority and experience above the position they offer. Please help with a sample sentence or paragraph I can use. Our cultures are so different that I am afraid to say something that is not a typical negotiation tactic here in the US.

In that case I would wait until the offer comes in. If the offer is too low you can say something like:
“Hi, thanks so much for the offer. I’m extremely interested in the opportunity, but I do think my experience justifies a salary on the higher end of your salary range. In the past couple of years I’ve done this thing, this thing and this thing. Is it possible to get closer to 70k?”
And obviously in that second-to-last sentence you’d add in all of your accomplishments.
Thanks
