At this level it’s all about relationships and network. You will need at least 3-4 years to build your network and get enough traction to be PMD at Deloitte. Medium term - compensation is likely similar at both firms. If you have traction at ACN, I’d suggest staying put. You can try to get ACN to match but be prepared to walk
Rising Star
I wouldn’t if you are planning to stay in consulting long term.
If you aren’t, good chunk of change to potentially make it worth it before exiting to industry...
The path to MD at D as a direct hire SPL is going to take you way longer at D than at ACN. Hell even home grown SPLs are probably 5-6 years out minimum, and they theoretically have strong networks already. This seems extremely short sighted once you consider the next step in your career.
I will switch If you are expecting less then 10%. Good pay with better role
I was a SpL and made it to MD in 4 years. The hike seems great!
I am providing a data point. Not suggesting this is likely for the OP, who I don’t know much about. If you can leverage your client relationships and sell new business when you join Deloitte, it will accelerate your journey.
I suggest you discuss with your Project lead and PL.
A 27% hike at your level is pretty substantial. Deloitte Digital and the C&M practice is super hot growth area. Which means that growth opportunities for you as the practice scales. I would seriously consider it
100% you should take the offer back to ACN. At least see what can happen.
Makes sense!! I am thinking about the optics if I take the offer to my CC and practise.. also it’s impact to my YE and bonus
