I am an MBA graduate (tier 1 B school) who joined as an Management consultant in Finance consulting role. My team is full of IT folks (with experience in Finance softwares with 6 years+ work experience). I dnt see the reason why they should hire an MBA graduate if they already have IT folks. What value add can an MBA guy bring?

With lot of IT folks in the same line of service, as competition, do you think Finance/IT consulting would be a good career option for an MBA graduate?

Any advice on a first year trying to transition from family law to in-house? I always thought family law was my path, and used to enjoy it, but it’s not the direction I want to head in anymore. I don’t think I even want to continue with any litigation work. I’m having a hard time finding firms that are hiring entry level associate positions that don’t require at least 3+ years experience in-house. Should I start at a business law firm to get experience working with corporations first?

I’ve been with my current company for a little over 5 years now and since the start of the pandemic have been WFH. I absolutely love WFH and have always wanted a position in which I could WFH. There is talk of bringing everyone back to the office full time and that’s not what I would like to happen. I’ve been searching for a new position in which it would be a remote role. My current company also said I am maxed out in term of what they are willing to pay salary wise.
