Yes, I've been doing this job for a while and even though working at a vet can be challenging and heartbreaking at times, I still feel like what we provide is valuable and very necessary to the community. And I like to think about all of those "patients" who I fell in love with and went on to live happy and healthy lives :)
Try to remember why you chose this career path in the beginning. It's a tough job for sure, but it's so meaningful, not only for the animals that we take care of but for their humans as well. I'd spend some time reflecting on why you're passionate about veterinary medicine and hopefully you'll reconnect to your roots

Yes it does. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to work with animals and it's never a dull moment. Every patient has their own personality and it's rewarding when you can get them back to their usual selves
