Quick qstn - I'm receiving HRA of 24075 from my employer but I would like dhow the rent paid as 96k p.a (while filing ITR). Even if I do so, I was only able to get exemption of 24075 from gross. Checking if we can speak to payroll department to increase Actual HRA since I'm actually paying more rent than compared. Will I be able to do so ?Deloitte Newco EY Accenture Genpact KPMG

You should be looking for a legal secretary job or receptionist. Without any legal experience, you will not find a job as a paralegal without having your certificate.
I agree, work with a temp agency to get you into a firm as a receptionist or secretary. Once you’ve completed your training, you can look for paralegal jobs elsewhere if there are none available at the firm which you were hired.
Yeah, I haven’t been searching for paralegal jobs, just receptionist and similar (different names for recep, etc)
I just don’t really know why I’m struggling in the receptionist department w prior experience, commitment to the field such as para cert & a business admin degree :-( I wonder if my resume is too sales based? Irdk what’s hindering my candidacy & it’s hard not to feel discouraged
Thanks for reminding me, I forgot I applied to some jobs via Robert half a few weeks ago and haven’t checked since.
Why don't you try a legal recruiter like Robert Half? They should be able to find you a receptionist job.
That's a hard one for you. Certainly paralegal jobs are more likely to come after you have finished the certification classes. That might also give you a better idea which area of law you would prefer. You are right about getting experience working in a law firm. That really pays off and gets you references too. Might help to join a paralegal association in your area after classes start.
