I began interviewing with a company in late January—first with HR, then the Accounting Manager, who asked that I meet with the Controller and owner. After delays due to travel, I completed a three‑day AP case study and was told next steps were coming. Weeks later, I’m still hearing the owner is traveling. It’s now mid‑March, and I’m tired of having to keep following up. Should I continue to follow up?

been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? I always buy the same clothes (color and pattern) over and over again. So in all my pictures I look like I’m wearing the same clothes since I was 21😂. But I just buy new ones every year 😈🧐.

I miss music. Like actual bands with instruments and vocal ability. Feels like the music industry is so hollowed out that multi-member instrumental bands like Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, and even Metallica are no longer able to take root.

There are a few talented individual singers (Adele) a lot of awful mumble rappers, but no actual bands that will stand the test of time. Before I get called a Boomer, the problems with the music industry for new artists are well documented.
