I currently work as the Outreach Coordinator for a small but known nonprofit. I've been with this organization for over a year and love it dearly. We've recently had a staffing change that has caused me to no longer enjoy my job. I love what I do and our mission, but the past few months have done nothing but harm my mental health, personal life, etc.

Any recommendations on how to have the confidence to leave and what jobs to look for? I've been battling this for almost three months now... :(

Comforting others:
When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Because I can’t guarantee that and I really don’t know if everything is going to be ok. I was taken aback recently when a friend told me I am calloused and cold-hearted for not being able to say those words. Is she right? The biggest thing I keep running and running around my head- after 8 months, why did he drop me? When he texted ending it l….it wasn’t me, like we weren’t us, his words were from someone else, like I didn’t matter.
