Hi guys :) Glad to join fishbowl and this community. Guys I have an offer of 14.41 ctc from a big 4 (11 is fixed).
Technology-Microsoft Dynamics 365(I am a functional consultant in SCM and HR; Relevant exp: 3 yrs & Total exp: 4 yrs).
My interviews in IBM are done and I am waiting for the salary discussion with HR.
What is the likely offer that I am going to get? Any idea? (My expectation is 16.5 lpa ctc). I will adjust my expectations as per replies here.
Any response is highly appreciated :)

If a company hires you to help them solve a problem, then it is actual consulting. They “consult” you, and you provide your advice. They’ll take some and leave some. The topic that you consult on is immaterial as long as you are providing some sort of advice. If so, then it’s actual consulting work, whether that be implementations, operations, M&A strategy, etc.
Agree and want to add that I think the issue at hand here is the nature of consulting. Is it something OP finds interesting/significant or not etc.

If by actual consulting work you mean strategy work, you won’t get that unless you go to T2 or MBB
Depends on what you mean by advisory?
Define actual consulting . Strategy ?
No
Felt the same way in big 4. But the clients kept coming back so we were obviously offering something of value

Yeah I mean, generally there’s not much strategy to it unless you’re in a certain niche in T2/MBB. At worst it’s risk audit or implementation. At best there is some quasi interesting transformation design work.
But no, they aren’t asking you what their next big product should be or what the right promotional strategy is.
I personally really like doing implementations. You can find so much white space when you actually dig into the processes and back end, particularly(obviously) the pain points. But I’m also on the technical side of things so maybe it sucks for the folks who don’t enjoy that kind of thing.
