You could use glass door or connect with a recruiting agency since they often times publish yearly salary ranges for accounting/finance positions. I have received it from Ambrion in the past.
True..
A lot of times it won’t matter…there is a metric and guidelines for ranges based on various things and not much the firm will do about regardless of whether you know others income or not
You’re not wrong
There are many variables that impact salaries. Even proprietary salary surveys that employers participate in and analyze in depth provide only a general range at best. Most of us are within the 25th to 75th percentile of the range for their experience, location, service line, location. Thinking too much about pay isn’t going to result in anything positive. If you are unhappy with your salary, test the market by looking outside.
