I feel like the people that work with me are just so young and somebody gave them loud voices and gets on my nerves. Because they talk and they don’t know what they’re talking about but it’s so many of them that they just sit there and agree with each other and then, when you challenge them you come off like the bad guy but really, you’re the most informed. I’m just I’m exhausted. And conforming is hard. It just can all be overwhelming sometimes being the only black girl.

I’ve been asked by a client to coach their team on how to structure and write scripts for their corporate event content (e.g. panel discussions). I’ve happily had a crack at helping them but it’s a bit out of my wheelhouse - is this ask something that would ordinarily be given to an agency copywriter? Or would it usually be something a content or speech writer would do?
Either way, I’m happy to add the additional skill to my CV 😅

My old employer asked me if I wanted to come back to the company as a manager. The pay will likely be much better and the position holds more responsibility than I’ve had before, so overall it would be a step up. The issue is I left the company because of an abusive manager who constantly put me down and made me feel like I wasn’t doing anything right. If I come back I’d be working under her again.
