I feel the job market is pretty slow since having 10 years of experience got a very few calls so far and people suggested not to take harsh decision without any offer. I was into a Support role simce they released from development role I have given 2 options either leave or continue in support role which was August 2025 last year. Till now I could get very few calls only 3-4 interviews attended. Is the market and hiring still slow? I am waiting for the right opportunities.

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!

Im currently going through industry change.
Im a pastry cook with 4yrs experience and the average salary start for this position is now at $22/hr here in vegas, especially in the strip. But cooking/baking is not my passion. So im changing into veterinary medicine and im seeing that the starting rate for a vet tech is around $16-18. Why is that?? Why are people in the vet med industry being paid so low?? Something needs to change. Labor of love aint enough for the people in this job.
