I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

They are so darn cuddly!

Can folks from PwC share how exactly your all remote model works? So, an employee opting for remote works with any team across time zones ? Or across states in same time zone? Also, how do you staff on / find a project? Are there people working totally with teams outside their office, as say nobody or few in their own group/ office opted for remote model? Would that be true?

Apply to other agencies, you’re more likely to increase your salary by more if you do. You can always provide your existing employer with the opportunity to match the offer.
I’d definitely say you have enough “years” experience to be requesting the promotion to a SAE role. Obviously the “years” of experience isn’t enough though, it’s truly what you bring to the table.
A lot of factors will come into play when asking for a promotion, 1) how are you performing 2) how is the account performing 3) are the open positions on your account, etc
What are you making now as a AE in your current role?
I’m in a similar position, I love the company I’m at but I’m also being underpaid. I’ve been having this discussion regarding my promotion for the past 6 months. I’m functioning at a SAE level and it’s noticed, but this promotion process has been so drawn out I’ve begun applying elsewhere as I’m starting to feel a bit taken advantage of.
If you’re happy with where you’re at, it’s worth a discussion. Do you have weekly 1:1s with your higher up? I usually use my time to touchbase on any project work, and then use the remainder of the time 10-15 mins to talk about personal goals, challenges on the account, area for growth, etc.
I think this is a great way to begin the discussion process because it isn’t so “formal”/“serious” and more of a conversation with your boss. Make them aware of your goals, maybe say “I’ve really been enjoying the past 9 months here on this account, I feel I’ve really learned to master XYZ. Part of my personal goal is to get a promotion by XX/XX/XXXX.” Get their thoughts on it too, ask them what you can work on to make that promotion happen.
Promotion plus raise unless you want to wait another 6 mos to get promoted as they won’t double bump you in a short amount of time
All you can do is ask and if they say no, then look for promotion opportunities. Make sure to have your reasons to the new value ready. IE. revenue growth, goals achieved, value drivers, etc…
