I finally gave up on the makerbot. Several years ago I got a Makerbot Replicator+ on a grant. I was never really happy with it, but this year it got worse.

The problem is that "auto-leveling" only samples a single point, the right rear of the buildplate. The result was that if the build plate had a cant, there was no way to correct for it. Yes, there are the two screws hidden in the front, but trying to level four corners, with two points of adjustment, was a never-ending frustration.

I finally ended up bringing my CR-10, tes, an old one, from home to finish a project for one of my classes. One thing I can say, the MakerBot was a lot faster than the CR-10

I’m flying my mom to NY for the 2nd time from Taiwan for the birth of her first grandkid! I would love to upgrade her to business since she’s flying alone, doesn’t speak English, & hates flying. Doesn’t look like we can buy Chase points, so wondering if anyone has any tips/hacks on how to get/buy more points?
