This is a quota role, you will be selling services. Have a plan and be ready to answer questions around building pipe, closing deals, selling approaches, etc. It will be HR, skills and a pitch interview process. Pros: good money if you are good at selling. Cons: money depends on your patch.
If the company actually executes well and shows the return - selling isn’t as important. I do a lot of “sales” but it’s really just my same clients asking for more work or giving their case study to other companies they work with. Weird to think all execs do is sales.
What does it take to get an interview for a role like that? Do you hold an MBA?

Op sounds like you may be looking for a role in the induatry strategy ot business strategy teams. There is some on the license sales side where you work with the AE team to help the client figure out what their high level roadmap is and help map to product. Or one that is in professional seevices where you are helping the client build a strategic roadmap, process optimization, etc.
I would suggest speaking to your recruiter about what you are looking for. I was initially approached for a different role, and I apoke to the recruiter I was working with, and he pointed me to the role that I would be interested in.
