I got a job offer for an ad agency in NY who is ok with 100% remote, but I live in Texas. We don’t have state taxes in Texas so my new salary would be almost the same (even though is 10K more) because NY has a “convenience rule” that says if you work out of state out of convenience, you still have to pay state taxes to the state of NY.
Anyone else experience this?
