How much more compensation and how important is remote to you? Personally unless it’s like 30K more is probs do remote since I hate commuting.
I say take JPM. In the long run it’s better growth and the extra income will compound overtime. You’re young don’t be lazy and take the easy route just because of the commute.
It’s about 30k total compensation difference
I’m negotiating, but they are not willing to pay relocation. I’m tilting towards GE cos of remote work, but thinking of JPM for higher pay and also reputation having that experience on my resume
Banking always pays a little better than elsewhere. Downside is you get locked into the system because you can’t lose the money. Then you have to hold out for 604 or move to another bank in time. This can also be a benefit. Just depends on your view.
CTO. WLB is good for me, but I’m aggressive about it. Others not so much and they put in 50-60 average. I do 40-50 max. Usually 40.
*Edit*
I have had a couple 60 weeks, but my role it’s easier to manage. Operate teams always work more. Dev teams seems a mix. It all depends on your uplines.
I also deliver solid work in the time I put in, so my uplines don’t care. If I performed like some do, I’d have to put in more hours. So also depends on your work style.
