Always keep in mind that disabilities often run in families and kids with special needs grow up, but their disabilities remain.
Were they possibly high? Or did they just not understand what you were saying? I’ve had meetings kind of like that. We were like I don’t know if these parents understood or comprehend any of the words I said, and I don’t know how to help their student.
I do not have specific advice, but I empathize with the situation. My focus remains on prioritizing the best interests of the students, regardless of the level of support from parents.
