Hi all. I am trying to determine if I am being compensated fairly. I am a tax manager (about to start my second year as manager) and have been with EY since staff 1. I was promoted to manager in June 2020 (during covid) and received a 7.5% raise. The class above me has mentioned they received much higher raises during their promotion years. My base salary is now approx. 97K. Any insights would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

I have received offer from Wipro which is little above than the offer that I am holding but fixed pay is less. Thinking of rejecting Wipro offer. Is it better to reject or accept and then not join. Still not in market standard, which domain. I believe 24LPA including your variable, wipro previous 2 quarter not fully paid employees variable pay. You don't see any salary difference from 16 to 24LPA, moreover you're into 30% tax slab
If no other offers, join at Wipro and ask for next band C1. New People getting C1 with 10 yrs exp

Dude it is never based on your experience alone... There are three factors which decide lateral package that you can get... Skillset, Year of experience and the current package!!!
Now the market is no long as good as 2021-22 where people could bag insane packages without meeting all the above criteria too... But now there is no chance to get more than 50% hike on your present package... But if you have a very niche skillset and already holding a very good offer, then they can at least try to match your present offer or give a bare minimum 10% more than your current offer to grab you... That's it... Getting 40Lpa fixed should not be the milestone right now, it should be to get a decent 25+ lpa package may be around 28-30lpa
