I'm joining EY next month for tech stack ODI, PL SQL. how flexible is it to change a skill set or project after 18 months in EY? I want to eventually move to the data engineering side. ODI (Oracle data integrator) is a niche tool which will go extinct in future and I want to move other technology hopefully in EY.Deloitte Accenture Tata Consultancy

I’ve spent 20+ years at Publicis Groupe, 16 of which were at Sapient.
As much as I’d love to see you at Sapient, I’d go with option 1 for the reason you mentioned in your original post. There is a lot of potential at Sapient but unless you are extremely good AND very lucky, you will hit a ceiling at some point, both with title and with comp. Exit opportunities from Sapient are not going to be that great.
On the flip side, you will likely learn more at Sapient than at the Financial Services firm, so there is that to consider.
My opinion: always take the option with better upside potential while you’re young (assuming you are since you’re a SBA).
Also am biased against fully remote roles in terms of upwards mobility within the firm (no I’m not a boomer)
Take Option 1
Is there that much more upside working directly with a CFO / C-suite at a young age? Asking because I've got a similar offer and it is intriguing, but I bet it depends on the specific business, type of person to CFO is and whether you click, etc.
Need to change location and internal transfer with Mck is not possibile
Option 1
Why are you leaving McKinsey?
Only you can answer whether the (perceivably) accelerated career progression / better perception of (1) is worth the WLB tradeoff. Think that's what it comes down to
